In honour of the Design Destination London event, one of our master artists, Kammy, demonstrates the intricate art of porcelain painting within our London showroom. Against the resplendent backdrop of our ‘Jardin Chinois’ wallpaper, each plate is entirely painted by hand in a vibrant array of enamel paints, and then further accented by exquisite gilded detailing.
Our collection of porcelain is entirely handmade using centuries-old techniques to achieve the same quality as the finest 18th century Chinese Export porcelain. The collection comprises full-scale dinner services, characterful figurines, and decorative vases and lamps based on historic originals.
Our porcelain collection comes to life in the heart of Jingdezhen, China, the historical centre of porcelain making for over a thousand years. Nestled within this legendary city, our studio practices these ancient traditions, including hand-shaping and turning of the porcelain mass, hand-painting, and hand-gilding, all to meticulously preserve the time-honoured techniques that have been passed down for generations. Our skilled artisans, whose expertise and dedication ensure that the art of porcelain making continues to thrive in its purest form, reflect our commitment to creating porcelain that is not just beautiful, but also a true reflection of a long-standing craftsmanship.
