Charleston
Inspired by the lush gardens and romantic landscape of Charleston, South Carolina, de Gournay is proud to introduce a new design within its Chinoiserie collection, ‘Charleston’. Flourishing with the blooming azaleas and roses, palmetto palms, dogwood, and paper plants all native to the city, decorative iron gates and fountains further pay homage to the locale’s distinctly charming character. Painted at a large-scale to fully immerse the viewer, one spots stately blue herons, Northern Cardinals, and Eastern Bluebirds dotted throughout the scene.
ExploreAntiques at the Gardens
We are setting the scene for the Birmingham Botanical Garden’s annual Antiques at the Gardens event, an acclaimed antiques show that brings together design and horticulture in the heart of Alabama. Within the flower-filled gardens, a joyful world of de Gournay comes alive with airy hand-painted fabrics billowing in the breeze and hand-painted ochre chinoiserie wallpaper set against dusky blue treillage by Accents of France.
Explorede Gournay X Beata Heuman
We visited Beata Heuman in her childhood home in Sweden to chronicle a very personal collaboration. The former farmhouse, an 18th century cottage nestled within the family complex, has been sensitively restored to reflect its humble origins. We worked with the London-based designer to create two bespoke de Gournay wallpapers, produced uniquely for the renovation, enlivening the countryside idyll she escapes to with her young family.

Envisaged with typical flair for the 2021 Kips Bay showhouse in Dallas, Ken Fulk’s ‘study and bar’ setting is a tale of a new era of high design: a light filled awakening told with two wallcoverings created especially for the occasion.

Located at the heart of London’s Square Mile, amidst the usually bustling activity of the city’s financial industries, the Ned Hotel occupies the former Midland Bank – metres from the neighbouring bank of England.
