– ABOUT THIS DESIGN –
An ode to the 18th Century splendour of Catherine the Great’s imperial court, this design references the striking floral décor of one of Catherine’s palace rooms. Decorative peonies and tulips are depicted hand stitched onto appliquéd silk and accented with a Champagne gold metallic thread, all onto an exquisite wool sateen basecloth. The embroidery style is loose and abstract, lending a slightly wild feeling to the luxurious fabric.
