Octagonal Baluster electrified vase reproduced by de Gournay following an early 18th century Kangxi original circa 1720, with scenes painted in mixture of underglaze blue and over glaze onto the flat flared upper and lower panels, showing mountainous landscapes, pagodas, pabilions and birds in flight. Amidst flowering peony, lotus & chrysanthemum plants. the flat central octagonal panels with an irom-red geometric ground, bordered with bands of key-fret and inset with petal shaped floral cartouches.
