LE JARDIN CURIEUX
A simple and airy design reflecting Mrs. Mellon’s more relaxed approach to dining, ‘Le Jardin Curieux’ is named after the 17th-century manuscript Jardin des Rares et Curieux Fleurs by Julius François de Geest, housed in the Oak Spring Garden Library. Large-scale, hand-painted renditions of flowers such as passion flower and sweet pea are loosely arranged along the rim, encircled by a delicate brown-painted double band.
de Gournay offers an array of handmade porcelain dinner service shapes ranging from dinner plates to serving platters, punch bowls, teapots and tureens. Designed for all styles of dining, the collection includes both round and octagonal plate shapes.
