PSEUDO TOBACCO LEAF
Typical of 18th-century Chinese Export porcelain from the early Qianlong period, the ‘Pseudo Tobacco Leaf’ design features flamboyant decoration of stylised pomegranates and hibiscus blooms entwined with saw-edged leafy tendrils. Its palette of chocolate brown, pale green, sky blue and rose pink is a vivid reimagining of the original antique. A favourite both then and now, the design lends itself beautifully to reinterpretation through de Gournay’s bespoke approach to pattern and colour.
de Gournay offers an array of handmade porcelain dinner service shapes ranging from dinner plates to serving platters, punch bowls, teapots and tureens. Designed for all styles of dining, the collection includes both round and octagonal plate shapes.
