Gainsborough on scenic paper

English Landscape

Gainsborough on scenic paper

– ABOUT THIS DESIGN –

de Gournay’s imaginary landscape was created by combining elements from two wonderful English Gardens, Capability Brown’s design at Stowe and Henry Hoare’s design at Stourhead. The mural places the spectator on an island in a lake at the centre of the garden with views in all directions.  Architectural follies and recently discovered exotic plants such as Rhododendrons, Japanese Maples, Cedars and Redwoods surround the viewer.
