– ABOUT THIS DESIGN –

Inspired by large screens painted by Kano Tan’yu which combined power and delicacy in a manner which is typical of the Edo Period. The design features four massive pines painted from a high view point, representing the four seasons, placed with assurance on an almost empty background. A hint of a stream flows in the background, winding its way behind the dramatic pines.
