Original Colourway on 12 Carat White Gold gilded paper

– ABOUT THIS DESIGN –

A majestic composition of flowering Chrysanthemum, inspired by the artwork of Japan’s Tokugaza period – a pinnacle of the nation’s creative expression where the naturalistic depiction of flowers, animals and landscapes upon metallic grounds was highly popular. Designed by Michael S. Smith, the blooming white florals, both organic and abstract, appear suspended in mid-air upon a striking gilded background that transitions gradually from a rich deep Copper leaf up to a warmer Silver leaf.
