Colourway SC-115 on Edo Blush painted Xuan paper
– ABOUT THIS DESIGN –

A recreation of an original 18th Century wallpaper within the ‘Cabinet Room’ of Norfolk’s celebrated Houghton Hall: an unrivaled example of historic Chinoiserie wallpaper that has lasted in near perfect condition since its installation in 1769.

A verdant oriental garden, ‘Houghton’ is an energetic and dense depiction of towering plum blossom, peony, and peach trees, with Peacocks, Parrots, and Jaybirds interspersed amidst Iris flowers and pomegranates.
