– ABOUT THIS DESIGN –

Rendered in vivid shades of greens, a lush garden of Mediterranean trees such as olive, bay, date palm, and fan palm come alive in this bespoke version of ‘House of Livia’. Inspired by the ancient Roman frescoes now housed in Rome’s Palazzo Massimo Museum, this design is hand-painted on a luminous antique gilded Xuan ground, with a tarnished metal effect that lends it an aged appearance.
