– ABOUT THIS DESIGN –

Assemblage is a bold display based on the graphic works of Dutch contemporary artist Louis Reith. Sheer textured slub organza is layered onto a smooth, painted paper and a largescale motif then gilded by hand in aluminium leaf across the composition– a maximalist pattern reminiscent of Reith’s monochromatic works. The gilded surface of the assorted geometric forms is antiqued to evoke real tarnished metal and then sanded to reveal the irregular silk weave below.
