Interior design by Ekaterina Lebedeva. Photograpghy by Mikhail Stepanov

– ABOUT THIS DESIGN –

Imperial Palace depicts the Jurakudai, a magnificent palace built at the end of the 16th Century in Kyoto. Having been intentionally dismantled by the man who built it in 1595, little of the original buildings remain, however an original six panel folding screen dating from 1590 depicting the palace served as inspiration for the design. We have recreated a full ten metre wall mural adding in some of the original missing details that were destroyed.
