– ABOUT THIS DESIGN –

Based upon the evocative views of Venice painted by Canaletto in the 18^th century. Famed for his incredible precision and meticulously studied scenes, the carefully composed paintings captured the incredible grandeur and atmospheric beauty of his home city. de Gournay’s scenic depicts the Grand canal in the foreground, bustling with gondoliers, while a panorama of architecture rises from the water, including the Doge’s palace, St Mark’s Square, and Rialto Bridge.
